#TenRandomThings

So @LisaKothari graciously (as is her way) invited a whole bunch of people to share #TenRandomThings about themselves on Twitter. They’re so much fun to read and I love how many people answered the Twitter call. I overshot the 140 character limit on some so here are mine. Feel free to ask questions :)
1. My parents experienced Woodstock (separately) in unusual ways.
2. The first play I had produced started with the song “Amazing Grace”. People thought I was Southern Christian. I’m very NYC Jewish.
3. A professor asked me to leave a Psychoanalytic Institute class for saying “Freud is not God”. He proposed to me in a subsequent class.
4. My first job was Kindergarten - 1st grade teacher. I’ve since served (after 9/11) as the Director of a multibillion dollar government (25+ agencies) inter-agency project which included coordinating services & the creation/development/implementation of the first of its kind inter-agency database.
5. I never had a fear of public speaking no matter who’s in the audience, or how big it is.
6. I have a pair of sandals I’ve walked (about) 7000 miles in. I used to wear 4-5″ heels all the time and walked miles in them.
7. I created and developed a transmedia project for publishing/entertainment company in the ’00s before mobile entertainment was readily available.
8. I speak four languages and English not my first language. The first screenplay I worked on was translating to English a script by an award winning filmmaker.
9. I happened to find myself in the midst of an Ebola drill (hazmat suits and all). By crazy NYC coincidence the guy who is the Director of that emergency preparedness is a former assistant of mine. (He did a great job - I’m so proud!)
10. I played the accordion and performed as a young kid/teen. (Lately, people keep telling me to start playing again.)
And by the way – if you see a bottle of water or seltzer that someone forgot somewhere - it’s mine. I forget/leave mine everywhere.
Anything about yourself you might want to share? #TenRandomThings perhaps?
